I was deceived by the small picture that makes it look like it is metal/aluminum. I think most everyone will be pleased with this coffee maker. It seems a little thin. $40 of the cost probably goes to the shipping from Japan. Coffee, so I'll have to be very careful with this.
I'm not sure that it makes coffee taste so good that it warrants the $70 price though. My two concerns are that the maker is plastic and the carafe. I'm also a little concerned about the glass carafe. A replacement is probably very expensive as it will also need to be shipped from Japan and it is unique to the maker. This is a good coffee maker and I am very happy with it.
It is VERY easy to use and clean, which is a big plus. I've broken two in the last year from Mr.
Have had it for a month and enjoying the simplicity of use. A bit pricey and doesn't have a timer, otherwise very functional.
I haven't made coffee for any guests who drink coffee withmilk in it, so on that issue I'm can't give feedback. Easy to clean water resevoir. So what. Small enough to fit into my pantry and since I'm the only coffee drinker in my home, I'm quitehappy with it's 5-cup capacity. I love this coffee machine, and have purchased one for my daughter as well. I've readother reviews that say the coffee wasn't hot enough, but I drink my coffee black and it's extremely hot.
It's totally fine as far as I'm concerned and the more I think about it, I would alwayshold down a top.just in case. I like the sleek, state of the art, looks of this coffee pot. The cone-shaped filters make a great cup of coffee with it's charcoal filtering system. I've also read reviews that complain that the cover on the glass carafe is loosely fitted and when pouringtheir coffee they have to hold down the cover with their thumb.
I would recommend this if you don't need a lot of coffee at once and from what my husband says if you want a great cup of coffee.I like the look too-very contemporary I read the reviews and wasn't sure the coffee would be warm enough or strong enough but my husband says it make better coffee than our old Krups coffee maker. I bought this for my husband (I don't drink coffee). We have low cabinets and this is one of the only coffee makers under 12 inches. I ran water through it a few times to get rid of the plastic smell and then it was fine.
I was looking for a small coffee maker that would make about two coffee mug servings. This machine is very compact and works well.
